What can I comment on?
Start a thread on almost anything in a project — invoices, quotes, tasks, snags, timeline milestones, cost lines, documents and gallery photos. The conversation stays attached to the exact item it is about.
Do people get notified when I @-mention them?
Yes. Anyone you @-mention gets an in-app notification in the bell and an email, and the notification links straight back to the exact item. Each person can switch mention emails to a daily digest or turn them off.
Which plans include messaging?
Team messaging is available on Contractor-Led and Professional plans. Self-Build is a single-user plan, so there is no one to message.
Does everyone I message need a seat?
Yes. Everyone who takes part in a conversation is a paid seat on the account — which is how you bring your contractor, subcontractors, quantity surveyor or client into the discussion on the work itself.
Is messaging different from the activity log?
Yes. The activity log is the automatic audit trail of every change made on the account. Comments are the human conversation on top of the work. Both are kept, so you get an accurate record and a place to talk.
